World’s Largest Independent Video Site Keeps Pace with Rapid Growth
in American Viewership, Producer Rewards Program and Media Partnerships
PALO ALTO, Calif. Jan. 17, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE)--Metacafe, the world’s
largest independent video site, today announced that it has expanded its
team with several new key executive hires. The company, which has headquarters
in Palo Alto, California, has also opened an office in New York City to
better serve its advertisers and media partners.
The announcement follows two months after the introduction of Metacafe’s
Producer Rewards program that pays video creators $5 for every 1,000 views
of their short video on the Metacafe site. In November 2006, Metacafe also
announced a content partnership with Bochco Media and the addition of Hollywood
powerhouse Steven Bochco to the Metacafe advisory board.

and creators who consider Metacafe a great online entertainment destination,
not just another video sharing site. Our new executives bring decades of
experience in media, marketing, and digital entertainment to support this
perspective and ensure that we continue to deliver the most engaging content
on the web.”
