Dan Finnigan has spent his career launching and growing Internet content, advertising and classified businesses.

Previously he served as senior vice president at Yahoo!, responsible for leading its HotJobs on-line recruitment business and operations. In that role he orchestrated an advertising, content and recruitment network that now includes more than 250 newspapers from 12 media companies.

Prior to Yahoo!, Mr. Finnigan led the creation of Knight Ridder Digital, served as president and CEO, and spearheaded its acquisition of CareerBuilder with Tribune. In 1996 he co-founded and later served as CEO of SBC Interactive, launched SMARTpages.com (now YellowPages.com) and led its successful investment in Flycast Communications. Early in his career he worked as a member of the business team at Los Angeles Times that published the nation’s first major daily edition on-line, as a senior management consultant at The Advisory Board Company, and as a journalist.

Education: MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles.
